Extinction Green Fields #4 eBook Adrienne Lecter

After reviewing the first book, knowing I was late to the game, I did not bother to review books 2 and 3. Whereas they worth a review, I did not deem it necessary. In any event, I am inclined to review this one.

I have to admit that I saw this series and author as a solid 4 star contender. Now... I must admit the writing has evolved to a point where I will easily give the book a 5 star rating.

SPOILER AHEAD... I hate spoilers, so you are fairly warned... these is not the slighted possibility that the main character will not survive to the next installment. Still, there is not a lot lost there if you are a fan of the series. I truly look forward to the next, and future, books in this series.

Extinction Green Fields #4 eBook Adrienne Lecter Reviews

Adrienne Lecter is a fantastic author and I have enjoyed this series VERY much. I am waiting , impatiently for the next book in this series to be released .I highly recommend this aythor and this series for anyone who enjoys this type of reading !.
This one totally made up for all the chuffing in the last book. They only chuffed a couple times in this action packed adventure!

The pace of this book is really getting insane in the best way possible. I couldn't even stop reading when others were speaking to me.
Well, that puts Mr Toad's Wild Ride to shame. Really fantastic imagination from the writer. Sure the super soldier is cliche in ZA books, but not like this. Sure we all have read of Bardertown like outposts, but not like this. Such a great and refreshing take on the post-ZA world. All four books have been great. Truly at the top of the genre (with Ringo). Job very well done!!! Jmf
I read all four of the Green Fields books on Unlimited for free and I liked them so much that I bought them and then reread them. I've been in a zombie mood lately and these are the best of the books I've read. If you like a strong but human female heroine,a very capable and sexy male partner, fun supporting characters and a plethora of zombies, these are the books for you!
I hate beating this old horse but the author really needs to pay more attention to what is coming out of the character's mouths. They come off as being very one dimensional because she can't bridge the gap between what she's telling us is happening and what they are saying. However, the last 20% of the book gets good and all of a sudden there isn't a disconnect anymore. It becomes purely wonderful suddenly. I was crying and was so grateful for the cliff hanger, you have no idea!
When the story gets better with each book, you know you're on to something. Thanks for the adrenaline rush! Terrific character development and insane action will keep me interested and Adrienne Lecter has nailed both. Before I begin book 5, I need to say don't miss this series, it's terrific!
Picking up where the third book left off, this book pushes the pace of action and deepens the plot established in the first three books. I've said this in my previous reviews, but it bears repeating here. I love that this book is told from a female perspective...and not a Ms 'Rambo', but just a woman who was thrust into being a part of something she could never have foreseen. Following her exploits as she tries to fit in and prove herself to the rest of the group on an ongoing basis, sometimes succeeding and other times failing spectacularly is what makes her more 'human' and relatable.

Fair warning This book has a massive cliff hanger ending...(I hate you Adrienne....)...but I have to agree with others that letting the main character die is highly unlikely. At least I hope so because I think a good bit of the enjoyment reading this series relates to being able to sympathize and understand her.

As far as the writing, there were typos here and there, but nothing too distracting (for example a pallet is something you stack freight on, not a palette). I am not one of those who love to pick apart how someone tells a story and as far as I am concerned this writer's skill becomes better with every book. Wonderful writing from an author I had never heard of before and money well spent!
